| B. R. Cohn Silver Label is 100% Cab, 76% sourced from the Olive Hill Estate, the remainder from Mendocino County and Sonoma Valley. Aged in French oak.
88 points. The color is deep ruby red, translucent. The aromas and flavors are very likeable expressions of black cherry and vanilla, and the mouthfeel is silky, like dark chocolate. The oak is not overly-pronounced in this wine. The finish is warm and dry. We enjoyed it with a mesquite-grilled Angus Sirloin Burger. The closure is a real cork. At $17 (Nashville), this is a really affordable, multi-layered Sonoma Cab to include in a case of nice reds. |
