Kim Crawford Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2005

Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc is produced from "low yielding vineyards in the Wairau, Brancott, Waihoepai and Awatere valleys, and these Sauvignon Blanc grapes were protectively handled". Vinification was cool stainless steel.  Importer: Vincor.

89.5 points.  Color: Light straw with a greenish tint. Aromas: Lots of fresh cut grapefruit, plus lime, gooseberries, herbs, and hints of dough. The mouthfeel is brisk, tart, salivating. Flavors of grapefruit, lime and green apple lead to a palate cleansing citrusy finish. Very good as an apperitif or with tuna salad.

Closure: Screw cap.

Retail: $14.  Value: Excellent.
