Kunde* Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc 2003 has already been replaced by the now current release 2004. In the 2004 vintage, Kunde blended in Semillon (15%) and Viognier (4%), picked some fruit at lower sugar levels, while picking the balance at higher sugars, to add complexity.
Some (about 1/5) of the wine aged in small French oak barrels for a few months, while the majority got stainless steel. David Noyes is Lead Winemaker. Tasting Notes. Color: Pale straw. Aromas of melon, peach and flint are pretty and intriguing. On the tongue, this wild white is light and mildly tart, very easy going. Round melon and peach flavors are supported by herbal and flinty mineral notes as the wine finishes crisp and vibrant. Closure: Plastic "cork". Nice value ($14). |
