Parker Station Central Coast Pinot Noir 2004
Parker Station* Pinot Noir 2004 was sourced primarily from Santa Barbara County, but also contains significant fruit from Monterey County (Scheid & Lockwood Vineyards). Hence, the Central Coast designation.
This is a heady Pinot Noir, at 15.1% alcohol. The oak program was 1/3 French oak for 8 months. Eli Parker is Winemaker**. Tasting Notes. Color: Deep cherry red with a slight cola tint, translucent. Very aromatic, spicy, roasted, red, black and dried cherry and plum essences give this Pinot Noir a seriously jammy personality. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with good structure and tart acidity. A full spectrum of cherry and plum flavors, backed by oak and cassia/spice culminate in a tart, fleshy finish. Closure: Plastic "cork". Excellent value ($12). |
