Peachy Canyon Incredible Red Zin Bin 118 2004
Not all families can make wine together, but Peachy Canyon Winery is the Beckett family's common pursuit. Josh is the Winemaker, Jake is Vineyard Manager, and parent/owners Doug and Nancy direct the efforts. The Becketts have about 100 acres of vineyards in Paso Robles, with many acres in Zinfandel.
Incredible Red Bin 118 accounts for about 1/5 of Peachy Canyon's annual 50,000 case output, and is their entry level "everyday" 100% Paso Robles Zinfandel. After fermenting, the wine is barreled in Hungarian and French oak, and bottled 2-3 times over the course of each vintage. Tasting Notes. Color: Candy apple red, translucent. Jammy red fruit is purely and simply displayed in the inviting aromas. The mouthfeel is smooth, silky, with moderate fine tannins. Red fruit, sweet baking spice, pepper and herbs are backed with nice acidity and carry forward to an easy finish. Closure: Real cork. Excellent value ($14, Byron's.) |
