This very worthy Alternative Bordeaux is made in Prosser, Washington by K Vintners. Before proprietor/winemaker Charles Smith founded K in 2001, he lived in Scandanavia for 11 years. House Wine Red 2004 is Smith's everyday priced red, comprised of 70% Cabernet, 25% Merlot and 5% Syrah. Tasting Notes: Color: Deep purple crimson, translucent. Aromas: Black cherry, cassis and spice. A middleweight on the tongue, good structure and plenty of dark fruit carry in to the spicy, chocolatey smooth finish. Closure: Real cork. Excellent value ($10). |

I think that red wine or white, its all depends on personal choice and wine quality. For me quality is more important. Most of the time I choose to drink red wine and either one is good for health also. I am not that keen on ice wine but I don’t mind.
