Firestone Santa Ynez Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2005

Like a gymnast, this sauvignon blanc has a well developed body and excellent balance and grace.

Winemaker Keving Willenborg reports the composition of Firestone 2005 Sauvignon Blanc is 100% varietal, with grapes harvested over a month-long period, from the estate vineyard and nearby plots in Santa Ynez Valley. Fermentation and aging was in stainless steel.

Tasting Notes.  Color: Pale straw.  Aromas: Fresh cut fruit cocktail, with peach, pineapple, grape and pear, balanced by green notes along the lines of gooseberry and grass.  On the tongue, the light body and juicy fruit flavors are tart and refreshing in the dry finish.

Closure: Real cork.

Excellent value ($10).
