R Winery Evil Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

"Evil" spelled backwards is "Live" but "Evil" turned upside down, "It's just wrong". That's what the label says anyway.
Evil is another worthy project of the partnership between Dan Philips' Grateful Palate Imports and Chris Ringland's R Winery. The partnership is responsible for Bitch Barossa Grenache, Pillar Box Red and other hotties in our wine market these days. The fruit is sourced from South East Australia.
Excellent value ($10). Closure: Screw cap. Alcohol content: 14.7%.
Style: Dark fruit-forward, softly textured, approaching lush.
Tasting Notes: Appearance: Deep purple ruby, semi-opaque. Aromas: Cassis and hints of coffee and vanilla. Medium-bodied and softly textured, the deep fruit-forward flavors are plentiful but just short of jammy and the finish is dusty dry.
Comment: Once upon a time the water was turned to evil wine and it was a worthwhile temptation.

I had it in the USA while on vacation but cant find it in Canada. Do you know if it is available in Calgary Alberta Canada

bought a bottle just for fun when we went on a trip to the states last fall. When we got back home to sweden we had this wine with a lasagne. I experienced it as a easy wine but Im totally sold on the name. Is there by any chance a way to order a box to sweden?

If this wine had California and Napa on the label,it would be priced at $21.99; and worth it at that price. The screw cap is the tool that lets you stand the bottle upright for storage...I like it.

I have never enjoyed drinking wine, until this bottle. My wife and I found the bottle interesting, and we have several friends who drink wine. We thought it would be interesting a party we were planning. The aprty fell through, and being the lush I am, i would not let anything go to waste. I became completely enthralled by this bottle, and may have become a wine convert because of it.

Please let me know where we can purchase the Evil wine. We are in Northwest NC and absolutely love your wine, but are finding it hard to locate in our area.
Thank you,

Don't mean to my own advertising, but we carry the Evil Cabernet as well as the Chardonnay. The Chard is $11.95 and the Cab is $13.95. We can ship to NC if you still need some. Thanks!

I manage a wine store in Hot Springs Virginia and would like to carry your Evil Cab, Pure Evil Chard and Bitch Granache. Could you give me the name of the distributor for this wine for my area? Thanks

Had it in New Hampshire, just over a week ago. Thinking about ordering a case. It was very good, in addition to the fun name.
